![]() If you are wondering if you should read this book, (which, I’m assuming you don’t, since if you got this far you probably love this series and have no hesitation) then definitely do. We also get to see more of Glimmer, and that was also wonderful. Shannon’s writing style is, as always, excellent, and the book flows smoothly for the most part. ) While people talk about how there’s not much action in this book, that’s why I enjoyed it so much. Before Fame She graduated from the University of Southern California 's School of Cinematic Arts. She also wrote the popular young adult series Sky Fall. She has written ten books in the popular series. With a good dose of comedy, a dash of self-awareness, and some riveting. Sokeefe scenes are always amazingly adorable, but in this book their interactions are absolutely perfect. About Novelist best known for having authored the New York Times bestselling Lost Cities series. Shannon Messenger, New York Times bestselling author of Keeper of the Lost. Now let’s see about the other parts I didn’t like… There’s really not much, but of course Fitz is his normal bratty self and Linh, for some reason, keeps getting more and more annoying. That’s really all of the content, and again, the romance is one of the best parts of this book, so parents, don’t worry. For her part, Millie recognizes Alices aching sense of loss over her fathers abandonment of the family. On the violence, there’s pretty much nothing in this book. There’s also a very long awaited (and SUPER adorable) kiss, some flirting and lots and lots of angst. (But it’s Keefe this time, so it’s way less cringy! Plus, it’s Sokeefe, and who doesn’t love Sokeefe?) There’s also the series’ notorious love triangle, which appears to be wrapping up. Like, I’m talking about pages and pages (and pages!) of thinking about a boy. This book in particular is more romantic than others, and, while it’s not inappropriate, the romance is WAY more swoony and sometimes obsessive than other series like The Unwanteds and Wings of Fire. (This is coming from someone who has read the Hunger Games and Divergent series, so I know what I’m talking about :) While, yes, a ten-year-old could *probably* read the series, let me tell y’all, it’s more violent and has some jokes that aren’t in a series like, say, Percy Jackson. If everyone were the same, we’d all make the same mistakes. What I’m trying to realize is that it’s okay to be different. I’m going to separate this review into two sections: The Spice (Content) and The Sugar (My opinion on the book as well as what was great about the book.)
